TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment and Deposit
Orders Under $300: Full payment is required to secure your order and desired pick-up date and time.
Orders Over $300: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required. The remaining balance must be paid in full 21 days prior to the event or pickup date.
Payment Methods: We accept credit cards and PayPal (sweetsocietybakingco@gmail.com).
Payment Deadline: If the remaining balance payment has not been received 21 days prior to your order date, the order will be canceled.
Acknowledgment: By paying the non-refundable 50% deposit, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
Changes
Modification Period: Changes to your order can be made up to 14 days prior to the event. Additional costs may apply depending on the nature of the changes.
Scope of Changes: We will accommodate reasonable requests, including changes to the number of servings, flavors, and decorations, if possible. A new invoice will be provided to reflect any modifications and associated costs.
Late Changes: Changes requested within 14 days of the event may be considered but are subject to denial.
Cancellations
You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it for a full refund. After this period, cancellations are not guaranteed, especially for custom and made-to-order items.
Deposit: The 50% deposit is non-refundable after the 24 hour grace period.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel within 45 days of your order date, any remaining balance may be refunded at our discretion. Cancellations made less than 45 days from your event/order pick-up date will not be eligible for a refund due to the commitment of resources and potential loss of other business opportunities.
Delivery and Setup
Responsibility: It is your responsibility to provide a stable, level surface at least four feet above ground for the cake setup. Cakes are best displayed against a wall for stability.
Post-Setup Liability: Once the cake has been delivered and set up, Sweet Society Baking Co. LLC is not responsible for any damages, including but not limited to, table bumps, stand or table collapses, child interference, or other incidents.
Outdoor Venues: For outdoor setups, it is your responsibility to take necessary precautions (e.g., shading, level ground, insect netting, wind protection, temperature control) to ensure the cake's integrity.
Additional Decor: If cake toppers, stands, or other setup decor are not prepared and readily available upon our arrival, we reserve the right to set up the cake without these items.
Pickup
Post-Pickup Liability: Once the cake is picked up, you assume full responsibility for its care and condition. Sweet Society Baking Co. LLC is not liable for any damages occurring post-pickup.
Fresh Florals
Supply Responsibility: It is your responsibility to provide fresh flowers for your cake unless otherwise arranged.
Flower Safety: Fresh flowers are not food products and may be toxic or contain contaminants. They should be removed before serving.
Weddings & Events:
Arrangement Fee: A $75 fee will apply if Sweet Society Baking Co LLC arranges and places the flowers on the cake. If the florist prepares the arrangements and Sweet Society Baking Co. LLC only places them on the cake, no fee will apply. A $75 security deposit will be added to your invoice, refundable upon confirmation that the florist prepared the arrangements. You and/or your florist are responsible for the freshness, color, condition, and cleanliness of the flowers.
Setup Without Flowers: If fresh flowers are not provided and readily available upon our arrival, we reserve the right to set up the cake without them.
Storing and Serving
Cakes: Should be consumed within 48 hours from pickup or delivery and stored in the refrigerator until 45-60 minutes before serving. For warmer days, remove 30 minutes before serving.
Cupcakes: Should be stored at room temperature and consumed within 48 hours from pickup or delivery.
Cream Cheese Frostings: Must be refrigerated.
Non-Edible Items
Responsibility: It is your responsibility to remove all non-edible items from the cake before serving. This includes, but is not limited to, cake dowels, boards, cake toppers, decorations, and any other non-edible components. Sweet Society Baking Co. LLC is not liable for any harm or injury resulting from the failure to remove these items before serving the cake.

Our Obligation
We are committed to providing your order as agreed. However, should an unforeseeable event prevent us from fulfilling our obligation, we will refund your payment in full.
